AkēLex has a working platform today, not a concept or blueprint. It is easy to use. It supports your current workflow. And it helps you discover what is most important in a clinical interaction.
- AkēLex does all the heavy lifting – we take large amounts of data from multiple data streams and over time, sift through it to identify important clinical patterns, and automatically report back emerging conditions, differential diagnoses, additional questions or tests to consider, and treatment recommendations.
- The AKE works even when the data is incomplete – we can use data immediately as it is collected at the bedside, or assimilate historic data from legacy systems, even when the data sets are incomplete or there are gaps in the medical records.
- AkēLex is versatile – we can identify multiple active conditions simultaneously and provide recommendations based on how co-morbidities interact and affect each other. We even provide immediate, actionable recommendations (drug therapy, additional testing, triage to higher level of care, etc.) when there is no definitive diagnosis, because sometimes it’s more important to know what to do than what it is.
- AkēLex is vigilant – we update content immediately and seamlessly with new medical knowledge or alerts (e.g. SARS, drug trials, black box warnings, etc.) and actively push that update to the point of care, across the entire patient population, to identify those patients whose condition or medical management is affected.
- AkēLex is easy to use – our system was designed to work automatically using the patient information a clinician would already be collecting to analyze a patient’s condition(s) and push conclusions and recommendations to the user. Unlike other systems, ours is integrated fully into the clinician’s existing workflow so operational efficiencies are not sacrificed.
